TAYLORVILLE — Davis Memorial will be mailing packages to deployed service members on Saturday, December 3rd for Christmas. If you know of someone who is actively deployed, who would like to receive a package, please call the church office (824-8181) with their name and address.

Items can be dropped off at the church between November 1 and December 2. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated to help defray the cost of postage.

Some items you can give are: AA Batteries, Beef Jerky, gum, trail mix, cookies, powdered drink mix, hard candy, magazines, crossword puzzles, pens, note pads, energy bars, pretzels, nuts, aspirin, shampoo, deodorant, sunscreen, toothpaste, toothbrush, lip balm, foot powder, throat lozenges, baby wipes, Kleenex, eye drops, mouth wash, Q-tips, dental floss, Vick’s Vapor Rub, disposable razors, hand wipes, sunflower seeds, coffee, board games, playing cards, small zippered baggies, Sunday comics from newspaper, disposable hand warmers, stocking caps (tan, green or black), cotton socks (tan, green or black), canned stew, mac & cheese, tuna, and peanut butter.
